Modeling the Thermal Adaptability of the Olive in Texas
This study analyzes daily maximum and minimum temperatures from October 1 to May 31 at 15 sites in olive-producing regions, 15 sites in Texas, and one control site. The model generated indicates that a number of Texas sites show temperature patterns similar to those where the olive is cultivated. These Texas sites define the Olive Thermal Adaptability Zone for Texas.

UC Davis releases organic olive oil production manual - Organic Olive Production Manual provides detailed information for growers on production issues, economics, pest control, harvest, and organic certification and registration. The 112-page publication includes 45 photographs. The manual, ANR Publication 3505, may be ordered from the UC ANR Publications Web site at http://anrcatalog.ucdavis.edu. The cost is $18.
